Defendants’ ‘protest’ signs break deed restrictions
The Community News

A complaint between two residents of a Willow Park development and a builder turned into a lawsuit earlier this month – not between the aforementioned, but between the residents and the growing development’s homeowners association.

By Daniel Brannigan
The Community News

The State House this week honored the chamber with a congratulatory resolution for its decade of service to the community.

Local business mainstays shuffle locations

Dominoes begin falling with Jack Bryant closing
By Daniel Brannigan
The Community News

The Aledo business landscape is shifting before our very eyes. Take a look around now; it won’t be the same in a few short months.
When Jack Bryant Flooring closed its Jearl Street doors in February, it started a proverbial Aledo business shuffle. Here's what we know.
Agape Coffee Haus Bookstore bought the building and will be subleasing to a number of businesses, including an advertising agency and a tae kwon do studio.

Cowboy poet-singer Red Steagall to perform
By Daniel Brannigan
The Community News

If increasing Aledo Independent School District enrollment figures or the number of subdivisions popping up aren’t enough of an indicator of east Parker County’s growth, look no further than the area’s chamber of commerce.
When it first formed 10 years ago, East Parker County Chamber of Commerce had 50 charter members and has since grown to more than 450 today.
