D.V. Klein Jr.

D.V. Klein Jr. died on Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Klein was born on September 23, 1935 in Springtown, the son of late D.V. Klein Sr. and Lera Boren Klein. He attended Weatherford and Denton Colleges. He retired after 30 years of service in the United States Navy. After his retirement, he worked for Dynell Electronics for six years.
The family thanked the nurses and staff of The Courtyards at Fort Worth.

Garner was born on June 24, 1920 in Santo, the daughter of Mona Daniels Young and Jesse Samuel Young.
She was survived by son, Nick N. Garner and wife, Shirley; daughter Cheryl Pigg and husband ,Robert A. Pigg Jr.; four grandchildren, Mark Garner, Kirk Garner, Shelby Pigg and Drew Pigg, one great-grandchild, Sara Garner, and nephews, Bill Young, Gary Young and Danny Young.

Naomi EmeryNaomi Ruth Bechtel Emery, 71, died on Monday, August 25, 2008, surrounded by family, at her home in Hudson Oaks.
Emery was born on March 20, 1937, in Bloomington, Ind., the daughter of the late Roscoe and Clara Boling Bechtel. She was a teacher in the Fort Worth ISD and St. Andrews Parochial School. She loved the Bible, tennis, birds, western art and traveling, especially to the mountains.

Edward Canull

Edward C. Canull, 75, died on Monday, September 1, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Canull was born on October 7, 1932, the son of Howard and Marie Canull. He resided in Weatherford for 30 years and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He retired after 24 years with NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jane Canull; children, Steve Canull and wife, Kathy, of Houston, Gail Shook of Houston, Gay Hill of Weatherford and Julie Olson of Arlington; grandchildren, Chris Maxey, Rachel Maxey, Colt Deason, Chace Deason, Marshall Olson and Crissy Shook; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Skinner and Linda Cline.

G.L. LoweG.L. Lowe, 81, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at home in Aledo.
Lowe was born on January 5, 1927 in Decatur, the son of Minnie and Joe Lowe. He was a longtime resident of Aledo and was a barber, real estate broker and avid supporter of the community and youth sports. He coached baseball from 1963 to 2000 in Aledo Little League. He was a member of the Aledo Church of Christ.

Bonita Lou HudsonBonita Lou Hudson, 75, of Weatherford, died on Friday, August 15, 2008, at her residence.
Hudson was born October 21, 1932 in the Baker community, the daughter of Press and Lucille Walden. She was a life long resident of Parker County, who retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Methodist Church and loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.

Hazel Louise Deen

Hazel Louise Deen, 84, of Forest Hill, died on Tuesday August 12, 2008, in a Weatherford nursing facility.
Born on November 24, 1923 in Tahlequah, Okla., she was a resident of Tarrant County for many years. Deen was a bookkeeper for numerous public accounting firms in the Fort Worth area and a member of Calvary Cathedral in Fort Worth.
Survivors include her sons, Mike and Wanda Deen of Bedford, Bob Deen of Fort Worth, Pat and Kathy Deen of Hudson Oaks; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Garland Cody

Garland Cody, 72, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Cody was born on July 14, 1936 in San Antonio, the son of Grover and Zelma Steitle Cody. He was retired from Lockheed-Martin, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic for more than 27 years.
Cody was a veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Marines and served in the Korean conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Fuchs of Fort Worth; son, Steve Cody of Weatherford; daughters, Brandi Cody of Weatherford and Michelle Gillespie of Ohio; and sister, Ella Mae Bartlett of Jourdanton and five grandchildren.

John Waller

The Rev. John B. Waller, 89, a retired Church of God minister, died on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Waller was born on March 27, 1919, the son of Luke and Mary Waller.
Waller is survived by two sons, Jerry W. Waller and wife, Kathy, of Fort Worth, and John B. Waller Jr. and wife, Terri, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughter, Janice E. Chumley and husband, Homer, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Bartle Taylor

Jimmy Bartle Taylor, 83, of Fort Worth-Aledo died on Friday, July 4, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, Mo.
She was the only child of the late Mayor H. Roe Bartle and Margaret Bartle of Kansas City.
Taylor attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo. and Huff Business College, where she graduated with honors.
Jimmy and Jim Taylor moved to Texas in 1956 with their three daughters. After raising her family, she traveled around with her husband until his death in 1993.
