When the Hall family took one final weekend trip before school started last August, they could never have imagined that their lives were about to change forever.
While sailing on Lake Texoma with friends, the group had taken a break for a short lunch in the middle of the lake. It was then that their youngest child, daughter Jessie, suffered a sudden attack that had never been witnessed before.

WEATHERFORD — One of Mayola Lasater’s first acts as a newly sworn-in Weatherford College Place 6 trustee recently was to approve a preliminary 2007 tax rate on behalf of the school for residents, an amount that was lowered compared to last year.

Trinity Christian Academy student Carter Skaggs was among classmates promoting TCA night at McDonald's in Willow Park today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The local restaurant has pledged 15 percent of all sales during those hours to the capital funds campaign at the school. WC board discussed gas wells, college's future

WEATHERFORD — The Weatherford College administration and trustees are going to develop ideas and an eventual plan on how to come up with a local policy regarding revenue from gas wells located on campus property.
The non-action item was discussed in great detail during a Wednesday noon meeting of the board of trustees. One of its own, Roger Grizzard, said he thought the administration’s stance on not being totally depended on gas revenues for college development was a sound approach.

Weatherford College signs Sam Houston agreement

In an official signing ceremony May 31, Weatherford College president and the provost of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville formalized an agreement between the two institutions making it easier for WC students to transfer to SHSU.
Agreement features include online articulation, joint admission, reverse transfer for the associate degree, and joint advising (including the ability of Weatherford advisers to access Weatherford transfer transcripts and degree plans directly off the SHSU system via the Web).
