Charlene Kay Young GarnerCharlene Kay Young Garner, 88, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Plano.
Garner was born on June 24, 1920 in Santo, the daughter of Mona Daniels Young and Jesse Samuel Young.
She was survived by son, Nick N. Garner and wife, Shirley; daughter Cheryl Pigg and husband ,Robert A. Pigg Jr.; four grandchildren, Mark Garner, Kirk Garner, Shelby Pigg and Drew Pigg, one great-grandchild, Sara Garner, and nephews, Bill Young, Gary Young and Danny Young.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Robert Garner, brothers, A.R. Young and J.V. Young and nephew, Ray Young.
The family thanked the wonderful, caring staff at Brookhaven Nursing Center, Select Specialty Hospital in Carrollton and her many friends at South Main Church of Christ.
Graveside service were held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Santo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to South Main Church of Christ of Weatherford.
Arrangements were made by White’s Funeral Home of Weatherford.
