Naomi EmeryNaomi EmeryNaomi Ruth Bechtel Emery, 71, died on Monday, August 25, 2008, surrounded by family, at her home in Hudson Oaks.
Emery was born on March 20, 1937, in Bloomington, Ind., the daughter of the late Roscoe and Clara Boling Bechtel. She was a teacher in the Fort Worth ISD and St. Andrews Parochial School. She loved the Bible, tennis, birds, western art and traveling, especially to the mountains.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Emery of Hudson Oaks; son, Christopher Emery and wife, Shari, of Fort Worth; daughter, Julia Beckman and husband, Mitchell, of Humble; grandchildren, Lindsey Suits, Brandon Suits, Mandy Smith, Johnathan Dawson, Jason Dean, Chelsea Emery, Mitchell Beckman II, Kyle Beckman, Jordan Beckman, and Eric John Beckman; and great-granddaughter, Jayden Nicole Dean; sisters, Eva Nunn, Mary Cramer and Kitty Halliburton; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Elizabeth Suits, in 1995; her parents; one brother, Zachariah Bechtel; and two sisters, Neva May Gibson and Myrtle Ica McLain.
Funeral services will be held this Friday, August 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Avenue in Weatherford. Interment will be in Annetta Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the Emery family requests memorial donations in Emery’s name to a charity of choice.
