Former Willow Park city administrator Claud Arnold is now the economic development administrator, according to city secretary Candy Scott.

Scott referred all further questions regarding how the job change occurred to city attorney Rider Scott, saying that she didn't know the answers.

The attorney did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment Thursday afternoon.

Council member Barry Brown said Friday afternoon that he also did not know the details surrounding Arnold's change in job title. He said though personnel matters have been discussed by the Council in prior executive sessions, there hasn't been many and the Council did not take action.

Brown said he was not at liberty to relay what was said in those executive sessions.

Mayor Marvin Glasgow notified Brown of the change in a phone call, Brown said.

Arnold publicly handed over his duties as the police chief to former deputy police chief Brad Johnson at July's regular meeting.

Arnold now serves the city from an office outside the municipal complex, which doesn't have a phone line yet, said deputy city secretary Yael Hoffman.

She said the change happened early this week.

Glasgow did not return phone calls seeking comment Thursday and Friday.
