Michael Hayden Hamilton died on Saturday, April 26, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in Wise County.
Hamilton was born in Odessa, on October 17, 1991, the son of Scott Hamilton and Angela Spencer. As a premature infant, Hayden was a fighter from the beginning of his life.
In addition to his passion for riding motorcycles, Hayden actively enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing basketball. Hayden also loved doing pretty much anything with his friends.
He was a straight-A student, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and had received National Merit Honor Student recognition.
Hayden is survived by his mother, Angela Spencer-Nile of San Angelo, stepfather, Brett Nile, and sister, McKinley of San Angelo, his father, Scott Hamilton, brother, Bailey, and sister, Hannah of Aledo.
He is also survived by grandparents, John and Sandra Spencer of Odessa and Mike and Karen Hamilton of Midland, uncles, Matt Spencer of Odessa and Chris Hamilton of Odessa, and great-grandmothers, Alice Wood of Odessa and Colene Langan of Bellingham, Wash., and great-grandparents, Terry and Kathy Kirk of Houston.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Crossroads Fellowship in Odessa with Rev. Matthew Levant officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family asked that memorials be made to the Children’s Miracle Network or Make a Wish Foundation.
