The Aledo Ladycats' softball team, ranked #1 in state 4-A polls and #3 nationally, will play Sherman for the area championship in a "home-and-home" series beginning Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in Sherman. The second game will be Saturday, May 3, at 1 p.m. in Aledo. A third game, if necessary, will be played immediately after the second game on Saturday.

Sherman defeated Fort Worth Brewer 7-4, 3-2 to advance through bi-district and earn a shot at the Ladycats, who had a bye in the bi-district round after completing district play undefeated.
