Trinity Meadows Raceway will host the first annual Best in Texas Festival Oct. 12 through 14.
Out of the 18-featured artists scheduled to play at the festival, headliners include Kevin Fowler, Charlie Robison, and the Bellamy Brothers.
Robby Fussell with Flat Iron Entertainment said the concert was originally scheduled for the weekend of July 4, but it got pushed back. The idea for the festival is to bring Texas/Red Dirt music to fans throughout Texas.
“We try to put on the best Texas has to offer,” said Fussel. “We try to make it a good family atmosphere.”
In addition to performers, carnival rides and other activities will be available for those attendees looking for alternate avenues of fun. An inflatable water slide, reported to be nearly three stories tall, will be installed at the festival. Tent and RV camping passes are available to those who wish to spend the weekend at the racetrack.
While food and alcohol sales will be available inside the gate, guests are also allowed to bring coolers on the premises. However, they are required to keep the coolers in designated areas at all times.
Tickets are affordably priced at $18 for one day, $30 for two days, and $40 for three days. Prices are raised a margin if purchased at the gate.
Off-duty police officers will be monitoring the festival and traffic associated with it.
