With vibrant splashes of paint blushing across a growing collection of canvases, artist Ariel Davis has been working voraciously to develop her talents into a sustainable career.

Davis, who graduated from Aledo High School in early June, has been stretching her wings as an artist by dabbling with various colors and media, pouring herself onto the canvas with the voraciousness of a seasoned artist.

“Just finding new ways to be expressed - that’s how I challenge myself as an artist. I’m not going to be complete until I’ve tried everything,” Davis said.

Utilizing striking contrast and evocative color combinations, Davis’ work give audiences the effect of viewing reality through Technicolor glasses.

“I come out on the canvas, my personality comes out,” Ariel Davis said. “I like using bright colors and extreme contrasts. I show on the canvas.”
