If increasing Aledo Independent School District enrollment figures or the number of subdivisions popping up aren’t enough of an indicator of east Parker County’s growth, look no further than the area’s chamber of commerce.
When it first formed 10 years ago, East Parker County Chamber of Commerce had 50 charter members and has since grown to more than 450 today.
“Of course, 10 years is considered a milestone in many areas,” EPCCC president Graham Quisenberry, 415th District Court Judge, said. “Our chamber has progressed each year in those 10 years and has established itself as a viable and continuing organization for the commerce of east Parker County.”
To celebrate, EPCCC will be hosting its 10th Anniversary Awards Banquet at Jubilee Trailhouse Banquet Hall in Willow Park on Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
The banquet will focus on the evolvement of Parker County from an agricultural-driven economy to one of active businesses and a solid environment for families.
The night will feature music by legendary cowboy poet-singer Red Steagall and the Boys in the Bunkhouse, a revolving slideshow depicting the chamber’s past and present and recognition of its founding members.

Quisenberry will host a reception at 6:30 p.m., prior to the start of a tenderloin dinner at 7 p.m.
“We’re going to celebrate this in grand style,” chamber board member Mary Mike McKenzie, of M&M Travel, said. “It’s going to be a very special evening. We’re pulling out all the stops.”
Also during the banquet, the chamber will be presenting awards to community leaders, including Entrepreneur of the Year, Member of the Year, Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Pappy Thompson Public Service Award, Man of the Year and Woman of the Year.
